Local Students Uncover Nearly $1,500 in Savings; Millie’s on Main Sponsors Community Learning

Elgin, TX — August 6, 2025 — Thrive For Life®, a nonprofit committed to empowering individuals through financial literacy and life skills education, proudly announced the successful completion of its inaugural Financial Literacy Foundation course held in Elgin, Texas. 

Hosted at Millie’s on Main, a generous local sponsor who provided the welcoming venue, the four-week course helped participants take control of their finances by learning how to budget, reduce debt, and develop long-term savings strategies. 

“Among just three of the students, we identified nearly $1,500 in monthly savings that’s now being redirected toward debt reduction and wealth building,” said Geri DiVita, CEO and Co-Founder of Thrive For Life®. “That’s real money making a real difference — and this is just the beginning.” 

The program is part of Thrive For Life®’s mission to move individuals from financial stress to financial strength — and ultimately, from literacy to legacy. Students also reported increased confidence and clarity in managing their day-to-day finances. 

Following the success of the May class, additional foundational courses are now being scheduled throughout the region. Thrive For Life® is also preparing to launch Level 2 training in the second half of 2025, focusing on investment strategies, asset protection, and long-term wealth building.

 Expanding Through Partnership Thrive For Life® is proud to announce a strategic partnership with Unbreakable Enterprises to deliver financial literacy education under the Unbreakable Finances initiative. The next Financial Literacy Foundation course is planned for August 24, 2025, continuing Thrive For Life®’s commitment to providing transformative education in the community.
